This is an action I created to make any image look like a painting. I had tried online tutorials, but none gave the image the look I wanted, so I created my own! This action creates a look of paint dabs on a canvas. It uses layers so you can control the boldness or subtlety of the effect.

The best part is that the photo doesn't have to be in perfect focus or super sharp. The action will help to hide some imperfections while creating a beautiful painting-style texture.

TO INSTALL:
1. Download file
2. Move file to Adobe > Adobe Photoshop CS2 > Presets > Photoshop Actions (found in your program files folder).
3. Restart Photoshop if open.
4. The action will be under the actions palette's flyout menu.
